Pune to Goa Taxi

To reach Goa from Pune by taxi, there are many routes that you can take. The shortest Pune-Goa route is via AH 47. It is about 454 km long and can be covered in 9 hours and 15 minutes of time. On this route, you will travel via Khandala, Satara, Kolhapur, Khanapur and Mollem. It usually has no road closure and has usual traffic. 

The other route for Pune to Goa road trip is via NH 66. This route is about 497 km in distance, which can be covered within 10 hours and 15 minutes of driving. 

There is one more alternative to reach Goa from Pune. You can take the route via Mumbai Highway. However with a distance of 573 km, it is slightly longer. It will take you slightly more than 12 hours to reach via this route. Here, you will cross Bhigwan, Nimagaon, Belgaum and Khanapur before reaching Goa.

Calangute Beach

Calangute Beach, located only 15 km from Panaji, is a major tourist hub and as a result one of the busiest of Goa. This beach is known for its water sports facilities as well as the choices of beach shacks and clubs. It is also near to other popular beaches like Anjuna Beach, Baga Beach, Vagator Beach and Candolim Beach. 

Fort Aguada

Showcasing Portuguese architecture, Fort Aguada is a must visit on your Goa road trip. This magnificent fort was built on top of a hill by the Portuguese for protecting themselves from Marathas and the Dutch invasion. Located on the Aguada-Siolim Road in Candolim, this fort is an ideal place for viewing the sunset. Even the view of Mandovi River and the Arabian Sea from here is worth capturing. 

Basilica of Bom Jesus Church

Situated in Old Goa, this church was built in 1594 and houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this church is one of the earliest churches in India. The magnificent structure of the church with glass paintings, exquisite carvings and decorated interior is worth admiring. There is also an art gallery within the church premises. 

Arambol Beach

Located in North Goa, this beach is known for its Bohemian feel. It is a rocky cum sandy beach. Visit this beach for enjoying the sunset from one of the beach shacks like Basho’s, Laughing Buddha, where you can enjoy exotic cocktails as well as authentic Goa cuisine. Other serene beaches like Keri/Querim beach and Morjim beach are located within a few metres of Arambol. 

Dudhsagar Falls

Located within the premises of Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park, it is one of the tallest waterfalls of the country. 60 km from Panaji, these falls can be reached through various walking trails as well as by a vehicle. The view of these four tiered waterfalls, cascading from a height of 310 metres amid the greenery of Western Ghats will leave you mesmerised. 

Along with these five tourist attractions and beaches, you can visit other popular sightseeing places such Chapora Fort, Terekhol Fort, Corjuem Fort, Mormugao Fort, Reis Magos Fort, Cabo Fort, Church of St. Francis of Assisi and Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception.
